I'm working on my first novel, Riftbound. It's an adult contemporary fantasy about a girl who's pulled into a secret order to learn rift magic and fight otherworldly things she once believed to be myth—all to save her father-figure best friend and the only person in the world who makes her feel seen.

I was inspired by the idea of all of our myths—and humanity itself—being more deeply connected, the fear of the deep dark "monsters" society sees in the unknown, and how the powerful love of a father-figure can show us our strength in the world.
